Summer Favorites

Hello friends!!
Today I will be sharing some of my summer favorites. I don't know about you but when it's summer my routine changes. The products I use in summer are not the same when it's winter or fall. With the routine change we tend to try new and different things (or at least I do). The following products include some of my favorite products that have worked great in the summer.

• My first favorite is Benefit Porefessional primer. I have been using this for a while now and it has worked great in any season. It truly does minimize my pores. I cannot leave the house with out it even if its a no make-up day.

• The second favorites are the Covergirl BB cream and Covergirl Outlast foundation. The BB cream I use for everyday wear, those days when I want to keep it natural. It is a very light coverage, so if you like full coverage BB creams are not for you. The outlast foundation I use when I'am going out or when I want to do my full make-up routine. It is buildable and can be full coverage. What I like the most about this foundation is that it leaves a matte finish. That is important especially in summer when you are sweaty and your face is shiny.

• The next favorite is the MAC Pro longwear concealer. I love this concealer because it is easy to apply and it blends really well. In my case it is not as long lasting as I would like it to be but I attribute that to my oily face. I wear this everyday due to my dark circles.
• The Mac Prep+Prime translucent powder has been the most used product for me this summer. Due to my oily face I look shiny, and to help with the shinyness I apply the powder throughout the day. I also use it to set my concealer.
• Next is my favorite blush. It's the Milani baked blush in Luminoso. I cannot say enough about this blush. I am so happy I gave in and bought it. The color of this blush is just amazing. I like it even more on my tanned skin. It has a little shine to it, but not too much where you will feel like a glitter face. It's so scuttle, and it looks great on any skin tone and for any occasion.

• Lastly it's my favorite sunscreen. It is the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration SPF 30. This sunscreen is a new discovery, my cousin shared this with me this summer. She mentioned how it does not leave that sticky feeling like other sunscreens and I wanted to try it. Sure enough it felt just like regular lotion without the stickiness, and it smells amazing. I use this on my face as well because I read that using sunscreen that has broad spectrum is the best kind to keep our beautiful faces protected.

I hope you guys enjoy! Leave any questions in the comment box.

Royal Azaela

A few weeks ago a co-worker of mine gave me this lipstick. I had mentioned to her that I had been looking for a pink lipstick and was having difficulty finding something that worked well with my skin tone. I was so delighted when she surprised me with a MAC lipstick. It is safe to say that this is my very first MAC lippie. Everyone I showed it to loved the color. At first glance I loved it too, however I only imagined myself wearing it for a night out out as opposed to wearing it during the day and to work. I was hesitant because I was not sure if it would go with my skin tone. Once I finally tried it, I started with just a little bit, and I loved it. I found myself wearing it to work the very next day. The color is very pigmented so starting off with just a little bit will go a long way. In the picture below I tried the full color as well as a little bit. I found that full color is a bit too pink for my skin tone. I love how you do not need to add any gloss, it already has a little gloss to it. The only downside is that it it does not last very long, I do find myself having to re-apply more often than I'd hope to but overall, this lipstick has been great, I wear it with my everyday routine (which I will post soon).

Dry Shampoo

In my March Birchbox I received a dry shampoo. The purpose of a dry shampoo is to help with the oiliness of your hair. I myself have very oily hair and must wash my hair everyday because of it. The dry shampoo soaks up the oils in your hair so that you do not have to wash your hair everyday. I usually sport my naturally curly hair and do not necessarily have to wash it everyday, especially during the winter months. I have never tried a dry shampoo, and I have always been hesitant to try it. I have seen how it can leave your scalp and hair looking white. Since it came in my Birchbox I decided to give a try. In order to give it the right chance, I decided to blow dry my hair straight. After the second day of my hair was a bit oily and I decided to use the dry shampoo. It says to spray on roots and let sit for two minutes. After the two minutes brush out your hair. The spray did turn my hair white and I felt like even after brushing it out it still had a different shade. It made my hair look a bit dry and stiff. It no longer had the volume that I would have liked. Because my hair felt stiff I decided to style it in an up-do. I do not think I will use the dry shampoo again. Mainly it is because of how it made my hair look. It does do it's job in soaking the oil but it then leaves it stiff looking and white. If there was a dry shampoo that did not leave your hair white and stiff I would definitely use it more often. Picture of the the brand I used is below.

Evolution of Smooth

I recently purchased my very first EOS lip balm. I am a habit of nature when it comes to certain things, and chap-stick was one of them. Recently however, my current chap-stick was just not doing the trick. I found myself having chapped lips more often than usual. So I decided I would finally try EOS. I have been using it for a few days now and I absolutely love it. Once I purchased it I decided to check out their website and see what they were all about. To my surprise I saw that they use organic ingredients. I fell more in love with this product because it is 100% natural. I especially love the packaging because its not as easy to loose in a huge purse. If you are interested in trying a new lip balm, I suggest EOS. Want to check out their website? Benefit "They're real!" mascara

My best friend recently raved about this new mascara that benefit released. When I saw the result on her it looked amazing. Her eyelashes looked extremely curly, long and full. I never actually got to try it out but I decided to purchase it because of the result I saw on her. Once I had the chance to try out the mascara I did not like how my lashes turned out. I thought that because of the type of brush it had I would have a similar result as my friend. (picture below) The mascara was to heavy and the little natural curl I have disappeared. They also did not make my lashes seem longer. I have used another mascara (Loreal "Telescopic" in black carbon) that has given my lashes length and fullness. Overall, I don't recommend this mascara for those of you, who like me have a little natural curl. But it could be perfect for those of you who have a a lot of natural curl. If you are given the chance to try out any product before you purchase it, I highly recommend it. We don't always get that chance especially if you are purchasing it at the drugstore. Also, it's a good idea to do your research and check out reviews. I always find it helpful to see what results others have on a product. That way you can make a better decision.

Camila Concert

Let the countdown begin!
On October 9th I will be going to the Camila concert (2 weeks and counting). They will be performing at the Universal Gibson Amphitheater. I am so tremendously excited! For those of you who dont know who Camila is, here is a bit of info. They are a great Mexican Band that has been nominated for Latin Grammy's and have won other awards in the Hispanic/Latin Community. They have such an amazing ability to convey such strong emotions that can allow us to relate to their songs. They are just AMAZING!

Here are a few of my most favorite songs, Enjoy!
